I am passionate to share my knowledge of breastfeeding using a caring and holistic approach providing breastfeeding support, encouragement, and education to mothers and infants. I have  worked as a Registered Nurse for 36 years. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with more than twenty-five years of experience, assisting and supporting mothers with breastfeeding and newborn care. I have experience in pediatrics and maternal child health. Through the years I have been a visiting nurse to postpartum women and their infants, facilitated newborn classes, and have lead mother-baby groups. I currently provide lactation support and education in a birthing center, pediatric clinic, hospital, and the home. I am also on faculty at City College of San Francisco, teaching pediatrics in the Registered Nursing Program.

I grew up in San Francisco, California. I received my Registered Nurse training at City College of San Francisco. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Holy Names University in Oakland, California. I wanted to pursue my education further and obtained a Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis as a nurse educator from California State University Los Angeles. I am currently working towards obtaining an “Online Teaching Certification”. I am also a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, United States Lactation Consultant Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National League of Nursing (Nurse Educator).*

I live by the sea with my husband Tom and our ever faithful dog, Buddy. I have raised two girls, Dominique and Alaina. I have a special granddaughter, Raven. I enjoy the arts, photography, travel, reading, languages, and walks near the sea.
